Hi All! I apologize for not posting last week. Today, I want to share something that will transform your daily routines "yoganising" your life!
Especially if you are having a tough time giving up that tea or that sudden craving for sugar, salt, or carbs in the evening. You are reading the right thing. There are a few basic patterns to these cravings, and once you recognize them, they are easier to tackle. Most cravings arise when you are dehydrated. Often, what your body really needs is just plain water. But we are so busy that we keep delaying it until it manifests into a binge alarm, and then there is no stopping yourself. Yes, you can relax now; you are not alone. It happens to the best of us.
Another reason for food cravings is a deficiency in certain micronutrients. That is why pregnant women are given whatever they crave without arguments—not just because people around them fear a hormone-induced flare-up, but because their cravings are hints from the body about what it needs to nurture the growing fetus.
Third, and most importantly, you need to try these because they taste fantastic! Just look at them! Who wouldn't want to try these?

How do we begin? I am going to share two of my staples, Apple Cinnamon and Cucumber Mint Lemon, but you can come up with many more variations by experimenting with what you have in your pantry or which flavors resonate better with your palate. Here is the recipe for Apple Cinnamon Craving Crusher:
Apple
Cinnamon
Water
Add all the ingredients to a glass bottle. I use a bottle with a wider mouth for easy filling and a strainer on top to ensure you only drink the infused water. If you can't find one, a big beer glass will work too. You can strain it out later and consume the water.
Leave it in the fridge overnight so the water can absorb all the flavors.

The next morning, it is ready to drink. You can carry it to work or anywhere you go during the day.
For Cucumber Mint Lemon, add all the ingredients (lemon juice or a few slices of whole lemon) in a tall glass or a glass-lined bottle. This time, add warm water.

This can be consumed immediately as warm water brews all the ingredients instantly. I like to add a little black salt to this drink too, but that's completely optional.
But this is not just it. You can add a variety of items to make your own Craving Crusher.
Go crazy! Typically, dried ingredients will require stewing overnight in the fridge. Citrus fruits like pineapple slices and orange wedges work fantastically well with herbs like basil, parsley, or celery. If you like to go rustic, try fennel seeds, carom seeds, or even vanilla beans! Ginger can be a good flavor enhancer too.

Get creative and try out new flavors every day to keep those tea and snack cravings at bay. Today is World Health Day! Celebrate it by making this awesome drink for yourself and remember to tell everyone where you learned it from. Have fun!
